Here to help with
unexplained situations
The Bookery
326 Main St. Placerville, CA
Investigation: Aug. 1st, 2021
Team Present: Dave, Ann, Jeromee, Rina, Jen, Erin, Gina, and Robert.
Our first post COVID-19 training investigation:
After a long pause in meeting anybody in person, our team gathered for our first training investigation. All team members were vaccinated prior to this training. New members were able to meet and great.
It was a memorable bonding time! The Bookery did not disappoint in unexplained activity.
New equipment for a new era:
We added to our technical end of investigations. Two new FLIR camera's, and SLS Kinetic system, a REM pod, a digital Frank's Box, a new Geiger Counter, Sound Meter, and a modern Geophone to measure motion and movement.
Our Team in Action
Gina began unpacking and setting up equipment.
Ann began the photography on the perimeter, while Erin did her sensitive walk with Jen.
Dave set up the the Kinetic SLS in front of the used bookstore.
Ann taught Jeremy and Gina about EMF and the Geiger counter where a heaviness was.
Gina had to replace new batteries almost immediately.
This is an original exploratory mine shaft dug during the Gold Rush.
In the sub-floor, the team located old tools from the more modern years. Also here, were oyster shells littered everywhere.
The REM Pod was very active later in the evening during an EVP session. Also active was the Geophone at the same time.
We always teach not to have any pre-conceived ideas about a location. Most of the team still thought, "What kind of issues could a bookstore have?" What this location had was: 1) Location above historic tunnels and historic Main street next to the Cary House Hotel 2) Old mine shafts behind the store. 3) Many used books of all different backgrounds brought in for re-sale. 4) Shadows and disembodied voices of all era's.
Our debunker, Jen, had been recording the sensitives impressions of Erin. Upon completing that stage of the investigation she did not feel well. She looked at her hand, not having touched anything, and found a very fine powdery clay substance on her hand. She took a break outside, but never could locate a source for the powder.
Outside, Ann, walked the perimeter of The Bookery. She found an old mine tunnel, a place homeless had been sleeping, and a hill with overgrown paths and ancient steps. The area was loaded with quartz deposits and Native American history as well. Main Street was in front, while the rugged forest was immediately behind.
